Total Solar Eclipse To Hit August 1st

Those who love to watch the Eclipse need to circle August 1st on their calendars. At this time there will be a total solar eclipse. It will be the first one that we have seen in two and a half years. The eclipse will start over the northwest passage of Canada, over Greenland, and then shift through southeast Siberia, and western Mongolia where it will finish in the Silk Route of China.

Scientists Trial To ‘Cool’ The Earth Unsuccessful

Scientists have been worried for years over the increase in global warming and the effects that it is having on the Earth. They have come up with ideas on how to fix the problem by cooling off the Earth. They believe that if they were to inject the Earth’s atmosphere with sulfate particles it would cool the Earth – but they discovered that it would also deplete the ozone layer and in the end would have dramatic and dangerous effects.

Researchers Work Hard To Discover Earth’s Hum

The planet Earth has always given off a hum of different notes that cannot be heard by the human ear. Where the hum comes from is something that has not been determined. Now the hums have become more powerful – which could help researchers to discover why it is being caused.

Weather In Space Effects Weather On Earth?

Most people imagine space as a vastless void of blackness with stars everywhere. But what most people don’t know is that, like Easth, space has weather. And it seems that it has been proven that the weather that occurs in space affects us here on Earth.

According to the National Academy of Science, “Space weather describes the conditions in space that affect Earth and its technological systems. Our space weather is a consequence of the behavior of the sun, the nature of Earth’s magnetic field, and our location in the solar system.”

Structure Of Earth’s Atmosphere

One of the most important things that we need to learn about the planet that we live on is how we can acctually survive on it and breathe all of the air we can breathe without dying. Many people are not quite sure how earth can sustain oxygen when other planets are unable to do this. Or how the sun can shine down without burning us to a crisp. The thing that protects this planet and keep us alive is the atmosphere that surrounds us.

Lunar Eclipse To Begin On Saturday

Aurora Borealis

One of the most beautiful and also rare things that you will ever be able to see is the aurora. Anyone who has had the chance to see this wonderful site has been truly amazed and in awe. The Aurora is a bright glow that is observed in the night sky, usually in the polar zone. For this reason some scientists call it a “polar aurora” (or “aurora polaris”). In northern latitudes, it is known as the aurora borealis, which is named after the Roman goddess of the dawn, Aurora, and the Greek name for north wind, Boreas.
